The University of Wisconsin Survey Center's Hiring and Staffing office is located at 1180 Observatory Drive, Sewell Social Sciences Building, Room 2412. This office is responsible for staffing limited-term and student interviewers, tracers, and mail survey support for the UWSC. The staff reviews the applications and contacts those whose qualifications best meet our needs. Selected applicants are scheduled for a personal interview, a typing test (required minimum of 30 wpm) and a mock interview. The mock telephone interview demonstrates the work involved in conducting telephone surveys and ascertains the applicant's ability to perform the work. References are thoroughly checked and the top candidates are evaluated and offered positions. Those hired will be working at the UWSC telephone calling center located in Sterling Hall, 475 North Charter Street. The UWSC field operations consist of approximately 200 employees.
