Tom Francis oversees the University of Wisconsin Survey Center’s Tracing, Coding and Transcription department. His responsibilities include tracing participants for mail, telephone and in-person research studies, training and managing staff in occupation and industry coding, and quality control of transcripts of qualitative and focus group interviews.
Tom joined the UWSC as a telephone interviewer in 2012, going on to work as a CATI shift leader and quality control specialist in the CAPI department.
He graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in fine art
