UWSC Field (CAPI) Interviewer

Job Description

Conduct in-person interviews for important academic research. Work for a leading survey research organization. Mileage and expenses reimbursed. Previous experience with CAPI interviewing or social science research is strongly preferred. Background check required. Depending on location transportation may be available, otherwise interviewer must supply own vehicle. Able to speak fluently in standard English with excellent persuasion and people skills. Accurate typing / data entry computer skills required. Women and people of color strongly encouraged to apply.

Pay: Dependent on experience

Hours per week: Varies depending on project; from 12- 40 hours per week

Shifts: Days, Evenings and Weekends

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be willing to travel for extended periods
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
  • Clear speaking voice and good hearing ability to record respondent answers
  • Ability to type at least 30 words per minute
  • Familiarity operating computer hardware and software
  • Willingness to follow set procedures
  • Must be able to carry 20-40 lbs
