Faculty Director Nora Cate Schaeffer, Associate Director John Stevenson, and Survey Methodologist Jennifer Dykema Participate in the 2019 AASRO Meeting

The Association of Academic Survey Research Organizations (AASRO) held their 13th Annual Meeting hosted by the Bureau of Sociological Research at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. There, participants from academic survey research organizations across the country met to discuss pressing issues and topics relevant to their centers and institutions including spam blocking and other operations-based difficulties and advances, methods to convey the value of our centers to University Leadership, and educational practices and initiatives. Peter Miller, past AAPOR President and former Senior Research for the Survey Measurement at the US Census Bureau, gave a riveting invited talk on “Relevance, Credibility, and Trust.”

UWSC (Re)presenting at MAPOR

John Stevenson, Jennifer Dykema, Nora Cate Schaeffer, and Vicki Lein will represent the University of Wisconsin Survey Center at the 2018 Midwest Association for Public Opinion Research (MAPOR) Annual Conference in Chicago this month. The theme for this year’s conference is “Embracing a Diverse Future in Public Opinion Research” and UWSC will be participating in several capacities at the conference.
