DESCRIPTION
The Postdoctoral Scholar Survey was conducted between August and October, 2001. This was a survey funded by the UW-Madison Graduate School to assess the postdoctoral experience on UW-Madison campus and to learn how it can be improved. CATI interviews were conducted with 461 UW-Madison postdoctoral scholars, which resulted in a 80.7% response rate. Survey questions pertained to various aspects of the postdoctoral experience, including mentorship, training needs, and overall satisfaction. The data collected will provide critical information for the Graduate School in designing an action plan that responds to the needs of postdoctoral scholars and faculty mentors on this campus.
