UWSC has become a Charter Member of the Transparency Initiative of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR)

Just as members of AAPOR agree to abide by AAPOR’s Code of Professional Ethics and Practices, organizations that join the Transparency Initiative agree to follow practices for disclosing the way data were collected that allow researchers and data users to understand how their data were produced. Our membership recognizes the record we have of following the highest standards in data collection and disclosure. By joining the Transparency Initiative, we encourage other organizations to do the same, we participate in an additional resource to use in educating our clients about standards for high-quality data collection, and express our commitment to continued excellence in a field that is constantly changing. Because UWSC has consistently followed sound practices for data collection and reporting, membership in the Transparency Initiative will lead to few changes in practice.
