UWSC client, Matthew Desmond, has won the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for general nonfiction for his book, Evicted. UWSC collected the in-person survey data for Dr. Desmond’s Milwaukee Area Renter Study (MARS) and Milwaukee Eviction Court Study (MECS). Evicted is based in large part on Dr. Desmond’s analysis of these quantitative datasets in addition to his own qualitative field work.
