Michael Turek, former UWSC CAPI Supervisor and UWSC employee from 2010-2016, rejoins the UW Survey Center team as CAPI Supervisor on February 12, 2023.
Michael started at the UWSC in 2010 as an Interviewer, was promoted to CATI Shift Leader, became a Business Office Assistant, and eventually worked his way up to a CAPI Supervisor position in 2014. There he supervised staff on CalYOUTH, the WLS Microbiome effort, and MIDUS among other projects. Michael left the UWSC in 2016 to spend the next six years working in Peru, working as a development coordinator and consultant for Céo do Wilkamayu and Mystica Andina, where he recruited and managed staff, managed resource distribution and oversaw the construction of a processing facility. He recently moved back to the U.S. prior to accepting his new position at the UWSC.
