Wisconsin Pain Management Study

CLIENT

Dr. Patricia Berry

DESCRIPTION

The 2001 Wisconsin Pain Management Study was a mail survey of approximately 1500 health care organizations. This organizational assessment covered hospital accreditation, home care, ambulatory health care, long-term care, and behavioral health care programs. A 4 wave, 6 page mail out survey, this instrument asked questions about organizational commitment, patient/resident/client care issues, staff issues, policies and procedures, documentation issues, access and availability of resources, and care and organizational performance evaluation – all related to pain management. Results of the survey will contribute to understanding the impact of new pain standards.
