DESCRIPTION
Approximately 450 Wisconsin anglers (sportsfishers) who have purchased Great Lakes Salmon and Trout licenses and stamps are being called throughout the summer to determine the economic value they place on the non-market good of sports fishing. The researchers are using “contingent valuation” in order to see whether the completed trip was worth the cost in terms of money, and fish catch. Anglers are being called every two weeks until September 15th, and will be asked to complete a mail survey at study’s conclusion.
