DESCRIPTION
This was a mail survey, funded by the National Science Foundation, of residents of four cities in the U.S. (n=1558 total). The purpose of the project was to assess public health communication and the community decision making process. Mailing included and advance letter, two full mailings with survey, a reminder postcard, and a full mailing with a shortened survey to non-respondents. The overall response rate for all four communities combined was 47.3%.
