On November 20th, at the 40th annual MAPOR Conference (Midwest Association for Public Opinion Research), Dr. Nora Cate Schaeffer, UW Survey Center faculty director and Sewell Bascom Professor of Sociology, was named MAPOR’s 2015 Fellow. MAPOR Fellows are MAPOR members who have made significant contributions to MAPOR through scholarship, service to the organization or other means. This is a very prestigious award and Dr. Schaeffer now joins the ranks of luminaries in the field of survey research, including former director of the US Census Bureau, Robert M. Groves (2008 MAPOR Fellow).
