March 2016 – UWSC receives high praise for its work on the Milwaukee Area Renters Study (MARS) from Dr. Matthew Desmond, Harvard University Associate Professor of Social Sciences and 2015 MacArthur Foundation Fellowship (“Genius Grant”) winner, during a Fluno Center presentation to highlight the release of his latest book “Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City, which was recently reviewed in the New York Times Book Review.
