UW Survey Center (UWSC) Associate Director John Stevenson and Director of Project Management Kelly Elver attended the annual conference of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) in Philadelphia, PA. The title of this year’s conference was “Working Together: The Essential Role of Public Opinion Research in Collaborative Science”.
John Stevenson presented at the conference on recent experiments conducted by UWSC regarding how different types and amounts for a survey post-incentive impact participation, cost and data quality when varied for an undergraduate and graduate student climate survey. The presentation was entitled “Effectiveness of Web Survey Post-Incentives by Type and Amount: Impact on Response Rates and Data Quality for a Student Campus Climate Study”, and was authored by John Stevenson, Jennifer Dykema, James A. Yonker, Rosie Bae, Michael Topping and Nathan Jones. Special thanks to Michael Topping for his assistance in drafting the presentation slides.
